Help with Roamlight for iPhone

My map isn't lighting up

• Open the menu › Settings and check that Track my travels is on.
• In iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Roamlight, choose Always. With "While Using," Roamlight can only reveal places while it's open.
• Roamlight saves battery by waiting for iOS to report a visit or a meaningful move, so a new area can take a few minutes to appear.

Adding trips from before I installed Roamlight

Open the menu › Add Past Travels:

• My Photos (free) reads where your photos were taken. You'll see every place it found and can uncheck any you haven't been, such as photos someone sent you.
• Google Timeline (Plus) imports a Timeline export or a Google Takeout location file. Timeline now lives on your phone, so export it from the Google Maps app's Timeline settings, then choose the file in Roamlight.
• A Place or Flight (Plus) adds a city or a flight between two airports by name.

Every import is listed under "Things you've added" and can be removed in one tap. Removing one takes away only what it added.

Removing a place from my map

Open the menu › Your Travels › Manage. Your map is listed as named places, and you can remove any of them. This is always free.

Moving to a new iPhone, or using an iPad

Sign in to the same Apple ID with iCloud turned on, and install Roamlight. Your map, Someday list, and achievements sync automatically. If iCloud is off, your map stays on the original device.

Restoring Roamlight Plus

Plus is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple ID. On a new device, open the menu › Settings › Restore Purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Battery

Roamlight doesn't keep GPS running. It uses the low-power visit and significant-change signals iOS already produces, so the effect on battery should be hard to notice. To pause it completely, turn off Track my travels in Settings.

Your history lives on your iPhone and in your iCloud, and we can't see it. Read the full privacy policy.
